About Us Over the last decade, the founders of Hummingbird Scientific have
worked to build custom, cutting-edge scientific equipment. At the
U.S. Department of Energy's National Center for Electron Microscopy,
the group was instrumental in the development of numerous instruments
for electron microscopy, with a focus on novel Transmission Electron
Microscope specimen holders and support equipment. Individual
founders have also worked on projects in related fields, such as
optical microscopy, bio-automation, “laser-tweezer” applications,
