Hummingbird has tools to do advanced 3-D mechanical design, vacuum component cleaning and testing, multi-layer circuit boards, and software development in such typical languages as C/C++, LabView and Visual Basic. Hummingbird Scientific's precision machining capabilities are the key to producing our advanced TEM specimen holders. Our equipment is highly specialized for micro component machining. Many of the machines we have are the only ones in North America. We have one of the most capable and comprehensive micro-component capabilities in the United States.
Hummingbird Scientific is adding capabilities in electron microscopy. We have recently acquired a Quanta 3D FIB/SEM, pictured above, for development and testing. This machine is available to our customers on a contract basis. In 2011, we will add our own TEM so that we can expand our test capabilities as well as offer this to our customers on a contract basis. Hummingbird has several highly qualified TEM and FIB experts that operate these machines.
