Custom Engineering
Hummingbird Scientific can work with you to design and build custom tools for
electron and ion microscopy. We offer custom engineering for the SEM, TEM, and
FIB in the following areas:
- Mechanical design and engineering of holders and stages
- Precision
machining and fabrication
- Electronics for actuator control
and signal acquisition
- Software for standalone and integrated
applications
- Private-label instruments and precision components
for OEMs.
Our Facilities
Hummingbird has tools to do advanced 3-D mechanical design, multi-layer circuit
boards, and software development in such typical languages as C/C++ and Visual
Basic. Our machine shop maintains state-of-the-art CNC milling equipment and
can manufacture parts in nearly all metals, some ceramics, select types of
glass, and most plastics.
