Precision Machinist/Instrument Maker

Hummingbird is looking for motivated Machinists to join our team.

We need a self-starter who can solve challenging machining and manufacturing problems. You will work closely with our engineering staff and clients in academia and industry to develop next-generation components for internal and external customers. This position provides exposure to a broad range of people and projects.

The right candidate will have a foundation in CNC milling and turning. Programming is a plus, as well as demonstrated ability working with all-metric dimensioning and tolerancing. You also have a strong desire to develop new skills and advance your career in manufacturing.

Ideally, you'd also have exposure to one or more of the following:
- A wide range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, copper, aluminum, bronze, plastics, and ceramics
- Fanuc CNC controls. Makino, Roku-Roku, Mori-Seiki CNC mills and lathes
- Makino Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and precision grinding CMM
- MasterCAM and SolidWorks
- Graduate of an approved vocational/technical manufacturing program
