Hummingbird Scientific was founded with a single goal; to provide the electron microscopist with the very highest quality and value in the development of new concepts for in-situ microscopy. We started with and retain a deep commitment to advancing our field by combining world class manufacturing capabilities with novel design approaches.

Our company was founded by a small team of designers, fabricators, and scientists focused on attacking difficult problems to help our customers achieve breakthrough science. We provide a full suite of in-house capabilities, including design, engineering, electronics, software, instrumentation, and precision machining, combined with rigorous instrument testing. All aspects of prototyping and development are closely integrated within small, efficient teams of experts, leading to unique and well-considered instrument designs.

We are pleased to be in our 6th year of business, still growing and strong. Recently, we have focused on expanding our manufacturing base to meet the needs of the most demanding customers through the acquisition of unique machining capabilities.
