Built around JEOL-centered workflows
Hummingbird Connect™ for JEOL is designed to connect Hummingbird Scientific in-situ hardware with JEOL microscope workflows through tools such as Python/PyJEM™, FEMTUS™, and IDES Scope Composer™.
The objective is not to replace the JEOL software environment. It is to make Hummingbird holder status, experimental conditions, control data, timestamps, and workflow metadata available within a more complete JEOL-centered experiment.
This approach gives JEOL laboratories a practical path toward repeatable in-situ workflows, coordinated hardware operation, and richer experiment records without requiring a separate closed software environment.

What is Hummingbird Connect™?
Hummingbird Connect™ is designed to connect Hummingbird Scientific holders, stages, delivery systems, and control hardware with microscope software, acquisition tools, external equipment, and laboratory data workflows.
Rather than forcing researchers into a predefined accessory-software ecosystem, Hummingbird Connect™ focuses on the connection points required for the experiment and the tools the laboratory already trusts.
Every microscope and experiment is different. Contact Hummingbird Scientific to evaluate the most appropriate connectivity pathway for your configuration.

Integration pathways may include:
- Python-based workflow support using PyJEM™
- FEMTUS™ control and automation support
- IDES Scope Composer™ workflow development
- Holder metadata and control-data handoff
- Experiment timing, session, and condition tracking
- Project-specific workflow development for JEOL users
Hummingbird Connect™ for JEOL is a developing product pathway. Some tools are available today, while others are configuration-dependent, project-specific, or part of the future Hummingbird Connect™ roadmap.

Keep the JEOL environment at the center
Every JEOL laboratory has a different combination of microscope, detectors, holders, control systems, and research software. Hummingbird Connect™ is designed as a flexible connection layer that supports those differences rather than forcing every customer into the same accessory workflow.
Our team can evaluate the most appropriate pathway for your JEOL platform, Hummingbird hardware, and experimental objectives.
Use the microscope software your laboratory already trusts. Connect the hardware and metadata you need. Keep control of the workflow and the data.
