Built around AutoScript and Velox

Hummingbird Connect™ for Thermo Fisher Scientific is designed to support connections between Hummingbird in-situ hardware and established Thermo Scientific microscope workflows.

Potential entry points include AutoScript 4 or AutoScript TEM, depending on the microscope platform and installed configuration, together with Velox Software for TEM and STEM acquisition and analysis. These tools provide a pathway for coordinating Hummingbird experimental conditions with microscope actions, acquisition events, and the resulting experiment record.

The goal is to extend the Thermo Scientific environment—not replace it—so laboratories can continue using the automation and acquisition tools they already know.

What is Hummingbird Connect™?

Hummingbird Connect™ is designed to connect Hummingbird Scientific holders, stages, delivery systems, and control hardware with microscope software, acquisition tools, external equipment, and laboratory data workflows.

Rather than forcing researchers into a predefined accessory-software ecosystem, Hummingbird Connect™ focuses on the connection points required for the experiment and the tools the laboratory already trusts.

Every microscope and experiment is different. Contact Hummingbird Scientific to evaluate the most appropriate connectivity pathway for your configuration.

Integration pathways may include:

  • Python-based workflow development through AutoScript 4 or AutoScript TEM
  • Coordination with Velox acquisition and analysis workflows
  • Holder status, temperature, pressure, flow, bias, and position data
  • Synchronized microscope, holder, and external-system events
  • Experimental metadata and timestamp alignment
  • Project-specific automation for supported Thermo Scientific platforms

Connect the experiment without creating another data island

Advanced in-situ experiments often involve the microscope, holder, environmental controls, detectors, and external laboratory equipment. Hummingbird Connect™ is designed to help these elements exchange useful status and metadata while keeping Thermo Scientific software at the center of the microscope workflow.

This customer-directed approach supports more complete experiments while preserving the laboratory’s choice of acquisition, analysis, and data-management tools.
